I contacted a Roehl recruiter today, and he is sending me a package about the comany. He told me they had a 7 on 7 off deal out of Akron,OH.It sounds pretty good to me if it is on the up and up.Drive 7 days then have 7 days at home would be right up my alley.Anyone here driving for or familiar with Roehl? So far everything I have heard about them is good. After doing a short stint with swift I dont want to get into another bad situation.I would appreciate any comments.THX Road Dog

If you get into a "7 on / 7 off" deal, you'll obviously be slip-seating. I hope the recruiter is letting you know this. If he's withholding this info, you should call him on it. Ask him something like "If I come back from break and get assigned a dirty truck, will YOU clean it out for me?"

There is no way they allow trucks to sit 7 days. And there is no way I'd ever be a "slip-seater". I'd have to clean my own truck thoroughly every week, which I'd have no problem doing. But more than likely I'd have to clean somebody else's truck before moving into it. No thanks.

Tip,I realize this would have to be a slip seat operation, but the idea of 7 on and 7 off sounds good to me.I am mainly interested if Roehl is a good co.to work for. There are usually ways to correct someone who leaves a truck in poor,(dirty )condition.THX for the comeback.

Road, anytime you need advice, you can always ask me, man. I'll be there.

I hate slip seating, but I'd work for Roehl anytime. I think you'll do well there.

Try it the LTL company's way once. Typically, a linehaul driver runs it at night, while a city driver runs it during the day.
