Found this thread while trying to figure out if I could take 550 for a delivery in New Mexico. The delivery point was on 550, but I couldn't find anywhere that said for certain as to whether I could take a hazmat load down that road. I took NM 371 up there on the previous night.

The consignee said that pretty much everyone uses that road for their deliveries. They even drive their own B-trucks down that road with hazmat tags for local distribution. So I took US 550 home after the delivery. I passed several trucks going the other way, and I even passed a couple police patrollers, so if anyone else comes looking around here, it looks like the route is fine.
