The only thing a 98 is good for is feeding one's ego. It won't best a 94 by even half an S-unit and eveverything and I do mean EVERYTHING has to be perfect - the antenna, the coax, the tune, everything - or you'll blow the amp sky high.

The 94 is the better radio hands down.

Whatever makes you happy roll with it.... it's your $$$$ the only one who needs to be happy is you............!!!!!

 

You'd like a 94 a lot more. the amp is better designed, more linear & more reliable. the radio itself is exactly the same, other than having "94 HP" on the front, instead of "98 VHP".

 

Yeah but but but the hp means high power the vhp means very high power. Man there's a huge difference there..!!!! Lmao

 

It's a YUUUUUUUGE difference! We're talking a third of an S-unit here!!!

 

Stryker SR-955 has a scan feature. But it's not a 100+ watter. (Don't listen to anyone who tells you they can get them up to/over 100.)

But, given that you have to quadruple power to put one additional S-unit on someone... it's not really that big of a deal.
