Looking to get my CDL through company sponsored training then move on to a company operating in the patch. Not trying to get stuck with a hefty loan bill so I'm hoping to find someone out there that will pay it off if I come work for them.
Any oil field companies that provide reimbursement for CDL training?

Not in this oil environment. They have so many experienced CDL drivers to choose from now. FedEx freight will train you to get your CDL and pay you in the process. You have to sign a 1 year contract to stay with them after you are cut loose, or pay a prorated $ 5,000.00 training fee.
Good luck. -
Schlumberger might get you your cdl if you come with a permit. Know a few guys that got their start at Schlumberger but that was when it was balls to the wall still
DevilNutsUSMC Thanks this. -
I'm not asking for someone to train me and get it for me. I will already have it. Just looking for a company to sign on with once I have it and that will reimburse.

Got it.

Best option is the IRS re-embersment just claim it as a tax deduction.

There's a million OTR companies that will train you. CR England, CRST, Prime. Go get your Cdl and a little pocket change (I think prime says like $500/wk?) then quit when you get your license and come get yourself a real job.
