    Yes I can.

72 miles makes the rate look better than actual. Air miles

Work assignment is zip to zip.

    GPS is actual.

So in order to make the phony rate look better they use air miles.

If they drag tail too much, call your finance people......Peach State FL in Atlanta left me sitting for 7 days one time on a PM, clutch adjustment, and bunk heater. After 7 days, when I called SNI Finance to tell them my payment might be a bit tardy, the lady said, "You should have called 3 or 4 days ago. We buy A LOT of Freightliners and they tend to answer the phone when we call.".

Thanks but I have talked to him yesterday morning and he told me he would call me that afternoon. I got busy and forgot about it. This is a small dealer and they close at 5 and aren't open on weekends. So at best I probably will get it back Monday afternoon. This is the second time I've brought it here and the second time they've done this to me. Suffice to say I won't be back. Stoops in Ohio were the best to me. Fixed same day.

    "Wrapping it up in Charlotte.
Talked to shop, SFI, SNI. Worthless waste of time. I can show a history of significant in and out of warranty repairs. Maintenance cost is over .09 a mile ,double the fleet average. In a nutshell, I'm screwed. Time to stop #####ing and just go on with my life. Good luck all!"

    New truck= no downtime :blah5::blah5::blah5:

This is pretty common. I've had worse. Load board shows 58 miles & God was over 100. Took my "decent get me home load" from $1.47 down to about $1.18 i it was.

But yes, like others have said it's to make rates look better & the extra box miles pay comes from the dead head air miles. I wonder how much money SNI saves/screws drivers out of by doing this.

Had this happen yesterday. Dropped in Roanoke, TX, there showed to be 5 empties at the location that morning.

Two Schneider's were leaving with empty trailers as I was going in.

We had zero loaded trailers there, I was bringing in the only one.

luckily, there was one empty left. Filth, full of scrap paper, but at least it was an empty.

Depends on how long the load is the type of load.
For example a load in the load board from Columbus to Indianapolis the load board has accurate miles BUT remember it is a straight shot was on i70.
However is a load has a route that tends to be on many roads going on many different directions then the Schneider miles will be off by a lot.

Point being you should use the Schneider board as a guide and tool but not to trust the rate per mile.
If you want to come as close as possible to actual rate per mile before booking take the cities and plug them into a map/navigation.. take those miles and divide it into the revenue of the load.
At that point you'll have something fairly accurate and at that point you would have been beaten to the load for wasting time doing all that lol.
