Hello,
I am looking for a reputable driving school in New England; do you have any suggestions? Also, I am looking to get my CDL for the first time and would like to drive delivery (Vans and or single trailers) in cities, what endorsements will I need to accomplish this?

Endorsements needed are hazmat/doubles-triples.
You want P&D, which is "pickup & delivery."
About the best company for this is Old Dominion Freight Lines. There's a few others in New England. Put your location on your profile so other drivers that live there can give some advice.Last edited: Mar 10, 2017

Where in New England? Or I should ask....what state are you in?
-
Since he wants local city driving, he should post the town/city he lives in.

Good luck.

i am from north of Boston and know the schools. ask me.

New England's a big place. You need to fill out your profile so we know where you are. Somewhere between 6 states doesn't give us a good starting point for a recommendation. If you want to spend WAY too much but get good training theirs always NETTTS, but if your in the Boston area I'd say Parker in Avon. Also good training and unless something has changed the Staties actually come to THEM to test so you'd take your range test on the same range that you always practiced on! THAT is a huge advantage! Oh ya, less than half the cost of NETTTS!

His post just did!

Let me clarify info I have from 8 months ago.
First, if you do the 160 course, both schools are about the same price. If you go to NETTTS with a permit and endorsements it is cheaper. Their 540 hr course is almost 11k. Parker does not have that long course.
NETTTS has no financing available. Parker does but your credit needs to be very good.
Parkers equipment sucks. The 3, yes, 3 trucks I drove had issues and should not have been on the road. ABS lights on, coolant leaks, tranny issues, and some other crap. Roger, who is a trainer there at Parker, is an absolute #######. Jay, is good.
If you have to finance and have good credit then parker could be good for you.
NETTTS was a lot closer to my home and work. Parker was a 75 mile drive.
Hope that helped. -
That sucks, they used to have nice trucks. How long ago were you there? I used to work in that Ind park right off Strafello, saw those things all day long. Sounds like somebody tweaked the budget!
