    ron

just out of curiosity, who was one of our heroes of ww2? ike

he was even president for a time.........i gotta check with ronno if he was liberal or not

but he had a speech at the end of his presidency, a warning to all of us, you and i included

ever read it? ever listen to it?
its commonly referred to as the military industrial complex speech, you should listen to it, or read it

coming from a president of the usa, you should take/put stock into it

it may not save your life, but the lives of your children, because knowledge is power and ignorance is slavery

    Fine then......
I guess we should all atone for the wrongs of the US since 1776 or before.

Perhaps we could implement a punishment of death like what was given to Daniel Pearle and Nick Berg for all Americans who are "guilty" of the "sins" you mentioned.
Would that make you feel better Raafi?

My grand-father Henry Thaw was a genuine WWII hero. He along with others selflessly gave their lives during the Battle of the Coral Seas during the darkest hours with the War against Japanese imperialism.
Btw, the Dept of the Navy is unsure how he died. He may have been one of the survivors of the USS Edsal taken to Truck Island and beheaded by the Japanese.
Don't give me your bleeding heart b.s. raafi, my family has sacrificed enough of its men to war.

    ron

calling me bleeding heart of N (brother) aint gonna make me lose focus

our country has a LOT of blood on its hands, and really has no right to call anyone a rogue nation

are there other rogue nations? yes

but we are one of them

the sooner we come to grips with that, the better

you come up with these labels (blame america first, or blame only america) why not defend or admit the issues at hand?

you are sounding like a politician

    "Ignorance"?!
    Hmmmmmmm
Are you sure it's not because we're
    baaadd men -------> :naka:?
    I know I am. :biggrin_255:

WhO's version of "history" do you suggest we look "objectively" at, ........... first?
Keepin' in mind that there are three sides to most stories.

Of the two you've listed, I bet Pedro is the most truthful.
    Ola!
    My name ess Pedro,
and I come to pillage your bountiful riches, as I overtax y'all's
    resources ------
and send the loot back 'home' to wherever I came from.
    Illegally.
But I jes wan to do the jobs no American wans to do ---
(for the wages I do 'em for. Like Big truck truckin' and construction.)
    Honk-0
    Honk-0 !!
    Gracias, mi amigos. :biggrin_25514:
I leave y'all with kooties like TB and hepatitis A , in return for your graciousness.
Not to mention escalating the crime rates.

But, I bring mi familia, for y'all to educate and provide medical attention for ---- that even your OWN citizens go without.
    America!
    What a Country!

    Borders?
We do see no steenkin' borders.
    Laws?
    Whose laws, our's, or your's? :smt102
    We are muy confused.

    AMERICA!
    Tear Down That Wall !
(You racists --- all "blanco") :laughing-guffaw:

As long as they aren't "white" lies,
    what's the problemo?

    "People it to you"?
Doncha just hate it when that happens?
    :biggrin_25525:

    Hmmmmmmm
I reckon that all depends on who y'all ask.
And/Or who y'all are willin' to believe.

I hear that the Iraqi gubment was just about perfect before
the Bushes started burnin' thangs up over thar.
Livin' in terror and residing in a stone-age is pretty much an ideal environment to raise children. If they live long enough to reach adulthood, I'm sure they'd agree.
    Shux!
If they DIDN'T agree, what would the former Iraqi gubment do about it. AfterAll (no relation to me), they've always had free speech in Iraq.
    What's not to like?

Then, along comes the racist Americans, screwing thangs up, as usual, promoting and encouraging free elections.
    What HAVE we done?!
    What an injustice.

I "love" it when you get all worked up.
It's generally accepted that the dropping of Fat Boy actually SAVED many lives and possibly more years of war.
    Is saving lives considered "love"?
    Is ending war considered evil?

And you still haven't addressed my point that the Japanese soldiers had orders NOT to allow any civilians to escape what we warned them was coming.
Did the Japanese gubmint show "love" for their subjects?
Or were they just culling the herd?

    I agree!
    And a rousing round of
    Koombyeyah.
    In three part harmony.

    All together now --------------
    HeY!
Why am I the only baaadd man -------> :naka: singin'? :biggrin_1square1: :biggrin_25525:

Neither I, nor my family had nothing (as do most Americans today) to with slavery, nor have we benefited from it.
    What's your point????

    THAT wasnt slavery

that was POST slavery, that was during freedom that was during the 1950's, when there were the good ol' days

that was a time when here in america, land of the free and home of the slave, people were judged solely on their skin, justice was meted out based upon melanin content, and if you read the news editors, they all had that same justification for maintaining "law and order" as we did up until the seattle riots a few years back, the MOVE bombings in phila. and a host of other things

you DID benefit, because your entire existence, your job, your education, your neighborhood is all a reflection of that, i dont know if you go to church, but churches are still one of the most segregated places in america

like my first post in this thread stated, i find it hilarious that europeans are talking about laws, and legal immigration to a people who are native americans
