I'm actually waiting for the Florida produce to clear out a lot of capacity everywhere else. Namely around my home area. I'll stick around there and run the same ordinary reefer loads I have been running. Rising rates in FL make them rise in other areas too.BoostedTeg and BrokerVeteran1 Thank this.

No, not TQL. I do loads for them occasionally but not very often.

TQL was blowing up my phone Friday for a Miami reefer.

I've been averaging 1.75 to 2.30 to the truck. The past couple of weeks I ran down to Florida for 2.59 on a 5 drop multi stop. (love/hate those) I usually deadhead out of there, don't bother with the cheap freight, let the desperate folks haul that. Valentines week I snagged a load of roses from Miami instead of deadheading out, it paid 2.40 but I had to sit on it for a day longer than I normally like. Hoping the oilfield picks back up and takes a bunch of trucks with it, that will bring rates up quickly.
Big_D409 Thanks this. -
Lol. Shoulda asked them for 2.50 a mile
What were they offering you -
The fukashima seafood driving the rates up?
