Most of the exceptions I see with Swift are with the O/O or L/O drivers as well.
They love to speed going downhill, and often tailgate.

I used the term "most" of this type of driving I SEE which does not mean all do that or even most do it. Just that most of what I see and have experienced (including earlier today) is what I stated.

I do see some OO types cruising in the right lane doing none of what I described.

If its your first job as a driver OTR just stick with it get 1-2 years experience then you can pretty much choose where you want to go. with most companies its about getting enough miles per week to get a decent pay check.

With Swift is all about your ranking.

Bronze is the lowest, Diamond is the highest.
Bronze earns .5 cpm per mile every quarter, gold earns much more at 4 cpm. Diamond even higher.
It can mean a very big paycheck every 3 months, or a small one.
And it all depends on your average miles during that quarter - nothing to do with your fuel mileage or anything like that.

But the driver does not control the miles...

    Not completely.
But if you usually run pretty hard you will get better miles and loads than a driver that doesn't.

That was not my experience with Swift. It did not surprise me. I had driven before, but had been off the road over a decade. So, I did 6 months to get a restart, and stepped up to a great company.
