Well I'm back in Canada this week. I'm stuck at a 5th Wheel Truck Stop until Monday, when my US backload is to be picked up. I don't know the reason, but apparently they have free wi-fi here. I will abuse this for as long as I'm allowed to do so.
I delivered a load of steel to Ayr, Ontario and will be picking up lumber in Brampton, Ont. It is a multi-stop drop to both Ashland, WI and De Pere, WI. I'm not too fond of the being stuck in Canada till Monday, but at least I can get a reset in. I had a feeling I'd be back this week.

Remember, the Canadian reset is longer than ours.
-
Oh, I remember, they had to keep disassembling the load, and reassembling it to fit it on the truck. that's why it took so long. cause I had to keep unstrapping what I'd done.
36 hours to reset, to count in Canadia. -
The 5th Wheel is located in Milton, Ont. I'm about 3 exits from the turn to Brampton. I am debating going to the Flying J in Mississagua on Sunday. If I wait till then it would give me the 36hrs, or I could just head to the customer. I haven't decided just yet.
I'll probably do the latter, cause it will keep me from spending unnecessary money. It would also perhaps ensure I can get an early load out. I'm not too worried about these guys and their breaktimes. I was a union factory worker for 6 years. Heh...I know how it goes.
Thanks for the reminder on the Canadian reset, I'd almost forgot about the 36hrs. -
Does Roehl still offer weekends home on the 5/2 midwest regional fleet ?
-
Well, I got a call from Roehl recruiting today and they offered me my job back. It pays to leave on good terms I guess. I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.
-
I'll be in Gary on the 27th, anybody else going to orientation then?
-
why not Ellenwood?

Going back to flatbedding.

Maybe you should wait till after winter to flatbed. Those frozen tarps are not very fun. Good luck. Welcome back.
