I asked DHT and they said they do allow pets and they limit that to pets up to 45 pounds.

 

I've been driving dedicated day cab for the last 3 years. In August I'm looking to go back over the road and everything Ive read about Danny Herman it sounds like it's the perfect fit for me. I live in the Chattanooga area but I'm from Phoenix AZ originally so I'd really enjoy running thru there and getting to see what family I have left. Maybe taking a 34 there from time to time. Does dispatch work with you on stuff like that?

 

Yes. I was low on hours and could manage a 34 in Dallas and still make my delivery and they had no problem with me doing it...

 

How often do you get thru Phoenix? Just curious. Is it a common area to drive thru?

 

We're a team and we go through threre about once a week id say. Really depends on your route but we are always going to calexico or mogales we just take 40

So when you sit for 2 days in Calexico, do you get paid $100 layover each day?

And what is DHT's bobtail policy? Will they throw a hissy fit if a driver bobtails a few miles out and back while you're sitting?

 

Its $100 for every 24 hours without a dispatched load i think. They would have no problem with Bob tailing as long as it doesn't affect anything

If I'm not under a load, there is no way in hell I'm sitting in my truck and staring out the window for 24-48 hours on some dirt lot or even a truck stop. To me, that's imprisonment.
