When I did a lot of shooting I didn't buy ammo.
    I reloaded.
The equipment and supplies will set you back several hundred, but if you go through a lot it is well worth the effort.
Over the long run you would be spending only about 25% of buying preloaded.

And it's fun to customize your own ammo.
You choose the powder, casings, bullets and primers to create exactly what you want and need.

    rank and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Well, here's my take on gun debate here:

Any moron that fires warning shots should be put in jail.

If you shoot, shoot to kill.

    Warning shots..... idiots

You are so correct. I often get reloads here: upload_2017-3-15_19-53-43.jpeg but living out in the country, I just grab some ammo when I'm at the Sportsman's Den and Fin, Fur, and Feathers.... it blends in to the winter clothing costs and doesn't hurt as much, LoL.
You do your OWN reloading, that's awesome. Something I always wanted to do. I don't trust reloads from "many" places myself.
Can you recommend specific equipment? I get a week off in a month or two... would be a well-deserved project. Thanks, man!

I bought a never fired Mosin Nagant for $125 at a local sports store. You can buy the 7.62x64r steel case FMJ mil surp ammo for less than .20 per round. But full metal jackets suck so Ive been pulling the bullets from the case, re-weighing the powder per the Lyman reload manual and replacing bullets with .303 British soft points from Hornady. Accurate, powerful hunting rounds for cheap

    G13Tomcat and fargonaz Thank this.
