    Will a speeding ticket received in October of 2016 doing 80 in a 65 disqualify me from being able to obtain a cdl? Thanks to all of you who have answered.

    Were you wanting to go to a company CDL class then drive for them as paying the schooling part off.

    You're going to drive for your current employer?
    If so, and they're ok with the ticket, you can get a cdl.

    I was hired on by Swift with 2 speeding tickets. One was 10 over, the other was 15 over.

    I had no problems with Swift when I was there. I went through their CDL School to get my Licence then I stayed employed with them for about 6 weeks. I left there because I had a baby due soon & I wanted to be home for that. Then I realized that OTR would not work with my family situation. So I left & went to Schneider as a regional Tanker driver. Been here 10 months.
