Will a speeding ticket received in October of 2016 doing 80 in a 65 disqualify me from being able to obtain a cdl? Thanks to all of you who have answered.
I have no cdl, but wish to get one. Question... >

From getting a CDL no... But could make your harder to employ some companies would still take you
@Chinatown -
15 over is considered reckless... That may be a roadblock
-
Were you wanting to go to a company CDL class then drive for them as paying the schooling part off.
Try Swift and jus see what they say. -
Try Carolina Logistics; they cut slack for some drivers.
-
No, would be a government truck.
-
You're going to drive for your current employer?
If so, and they're ok with the ticket, you can get a cdl. -
I was hired on by Swift with 2 speeding tickets. One was 10 over, the other was 15 over.
-
How do/did you like Swift? Uncle of mine had a rough time with them.
-
I had no problems with Swift when I was there. I went through their CDL School to get my Licence then I stayed employed with them for about 6 weeks. I left there because I had a baby due soon & I wanted to be home for that. Then I realized that OTR would not work with my family situation. So I left & went to Schneider as a regional Tanker driver. Been here 10 months.SingingWolf and rabbiporkchop Thank this.
