I thought Thermo King had something like that awhile ago.

Don't know about an app, but an audible alarm goes off in my cab and a Qualcomm message goes to my company if my reefer has a problem or goes out of temp range.

 

Do you guys live on the moon? This type of monitoring has been around for years. The phone link up is newish but I've always ran a monitor on top of my reefer loads with a display in my cab, since oh maybe 2005.

My new Thermo King S700 has the inlet temp and fuel level on the bar light. No wifi or subscription required. Just point your Mark V eyeballs at the rear view mirror to grab all that data. That, and anything else you may want for remote telematics, is all available for a fee.
