Hi everyone, about halfway through CDL school. Has anyone had experience with Werner, Schnieder, Epes, or Averitte trucking companies? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Abilene Motor Express has regional and hires new cdl grads.
Old Dominion Freight Line has regional linehaul and hires new cdl grads.rhouston24, MACK E-6 and chewbakka Thank this. -
Thank you, do you know anything about either of their reputations?
-
I'd put Old Dominion as first choice. They have local P&D, but linehaul is 100% better; terminal to terminal drop & hook. Some drivers like P&D which is city driving doing pickups & deliveries.
Abilene has a real good reputation also. @MidWest_MacDaddy works there. -
I remember one new cdl grad in Virginia that got a good job with Schneider Bulk on a dedicated Chicago turnaround. Good money in tankers.
chewbakka Thanks this. -
Abilene regional will mostly keep you in the NE, but there is an extra .10 CPM for miles north of MD. It isn't a strict regional area though as you will find yourself in OH and IN if the need arises. Either way you can expect to get through Richmond once or twice a week which is handy for impromptu hometime if you live near there.
chewbakka Thanks this. -
Schneider took a guy right out of my class when I was at that point, Averitt is good as well. What part of VA are you in?
chewbakka Thanks this. -
Keep in mind that Abilene has driver-facing cameras.
Old Dominion would be my first choice out of the companies mentioned so far.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
I am near Fredericksburg, and Culpeper.
