Va. trucking company settles discrimination suit

Well at least someone stood up to a trucking company for a change, although after reading the whole article I find it amazing that a 53 year old qualified man thought that he was discriminated against for not being hired for a position it wasnt because he was black it was because he was old and most professions like that want someone straight out of or not long out of college because they can get their moneys worth out of them and not have to pay them any kind of decent salary in the beginning. This whole discrimination thing makes me sick both racial and sexual, while I know there are situations that are certainly legitimate that should be addressed not ALL of them should be. It seems every minority or woman who doesnt get their way with a company or who wants a quick payday uses the race card or sex card and makes a big stink. Really makes you think that certain demographics are just not meant for the workfoce and society.

 

Do you know anything about your history, how your grand parents and even before, what was done to blacks, Indians and anybody of color, oh that's right they forgot to tell you those stories when they tucked you in at night, you can even hear it on the CB anytime of the day, you are just 27 so you got a lot to learn about your grand parents and parents, read your history books,

 

I don't see where race came into play at all... They simply thought he was involved in theft... Having to be black had nothing to do with it from what I read...

And hey Derrick keep living in that past... fuel that hatred.. Most of us have done let that go a long time ago and moved forward.. But if you want to keep reliving what "white man done" a long time ago, that has absolutely nothing to do with the white people today... White man is trying to survive today just as anybody else is in this country..

Dunno about you but I teach my son there is no white or black there is only people... Matter of fact he just said dad look at the black man over there the other day.. I said son that is not a black man that is just a man.. We don't look at skin color..
