KW and Peterbuilt recall

Yes I see the tech note - but it's not officially listed as a recall yet. This is pretty common and happens with a lot of recalls.

 

This recall has been officially announced. If your vehicle is affected you will receive a letter in the mail. If you are concerned about whether or not your vehicle is affected please call your nearest Paccar dealership with the last 6 digits of your VIN and they can tell you.

There is no time or mileage limitation to this recall - it will be fixed at no cost to you. The repair time will be less than 2 hours, but most likely less than one hour. Shop wait time may vary.

 

Plastic Tee fittings. OMFG where is the quality going? a frieaking 50 cent plastic?

 

Well its not a problem until it's a problem. S-cam bushings are plastic and it's not a problem.

 

Lots of components on trucks are plastic. Your throttle pedal is probably plastic, for instance.

Er the wheel and assembly for drive by wire to the ECM was. But the foot pad was metal.

 

A lot of them are plastic now.
