no one can help me out ?

I'd say Swift over CR. I don't really care for either one, but from what I've seen in other threads, CR will probably screw you over quicker than Swift.
wb75 Thanks this. -

What is the deal with their schools, as far as pay, commitment? an they force you to work for them if you don't like them after school, and working for them for a month?
Has any one heard of Saldinos? -
Central Ref. before either of those. School in Fontana, or Salt Lake.
12 month pay back, can pay sooner if you apply safety bonuses to it. No real contract, just you still have to pay them back if you leave early. -
I talked to someone, CR, maybe 2 years ago, about becoming a company driver. I have had my CDL since 1990 but no recent OTR. SO they said something like $10 an hour to go their school for 2 weeks in LA. DO the carriers still offfer this?

Not that I heard. As far as CR Or as now called just England or Swift. Pass. But to get experience I would take Swift over England. Mostly because they are the larger company and will give you a better chance at getting a regional run so that you can be closer to the house. I think both will pay 4 school then pay you 300 or so a week while in training, I think swift uses a 6 week training program and England is same. Considering that England is owned by the daughter of swifts owner Jerry Morres. Either way same family.

Personaly, I would choose Swift (I did) for training, I'm not a refer man so CR is not something I'm interested in. As mentioned above, I would also try Central, Ive heard better things (on the road) from them over CR.... Good Luck, either way, learn all you can and drive safe!

England is owned by the England family, Central (former Simon) is owned by Gerrys daughter.
For Russ.
This is a refresher course. Most company schools will do this, it is not on an hourly basis though. You have to go to the school at a reduced rate, and out with a trainer for a few weeks on the road. I did this with Central. It was 2000, paid as 50 a week for 8 months. I had it paid in 6.
Pain in the rear, I did not learn anything, but it got me on the road, since I had been local so many years.
