AMEN to that!
Come now, you know very well that the majority of drivers are already unbalanced when they hire on! Otherwise, they'd be doing something else for a living.
Hey, @3031 is kinda new here. He's only been around since, oh let's see, I think it said 2011.![]()

It's a good job for loners & introverts.1278PA said: ↑Any loners here? Is this a good job for a loner or would it make things worse? I have basically no family most of them have severe issues mentally and otherwise and my father was never really a father to begin with. I have no real friends just acquaintances most because of my choice. I lived a life of hell because of my "family" so i choose to be alone to avoid any possible conflict. That's another reason why i work on the side alone doing electrical work and handyman work because i can't work around people all day for years.
So is this a job for a loner or will this make me go off the deep end?Click to expand... -
That is the proper term for more than one moose.noluck said: ↑What the hell is a Meese?Click to expand...
Like goose and geese.
I know it is not the accepted term, but I am The Moose. I have been The Moose since I was a kid, so I should know!
And I reserve the right to define multiples of my kind. -

Oxford English - you, and the other moose, even all combined and witnessed as a herd are 'moose', properly.

My mom loved Aqua-Net.... Often surprised she succeeded in never burning our abode to the ground.cybill234 Thanks this. -
You're right.... I'm really trying to stay out of trouble w. @MACK E-6....... So I provide your retort in jocularity (because you can handle it), but 'moose' & 'meese'..... Sorry... as a transient Mainer and native Vermonter, I can't handle that level of self-absorbed stupid.Big Don said: ↑Sheesh, everybody is a spelling critik...

KillingTime, you are wrong.
I am right.
That is all there is to it.
In your universe of killing time you can describe it however you wish.
But in the Moose universe, multiples of moose are meese.
And this is my personal Moose universe, so I decide what we are called.
Sorry, but you are just a visitor here. -

I am working hard at trying to change this situation.
I have never married and never had any children. I live in an apartment which would allow me to be away for extended periods of time.
SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, both of my parents passed away years ago. I no longer have parental eldercare responsibilities.
I currently work as a retail clerk. This month will be 10 years that I have been with my company.
When I leave work, I gladly go home to my apartment and embrace the solitude of 4 walls.
Whenever I go on road trips, or plane trips, it is a great feeling being SOLO.
Every job that I have ever had, was always around other people, (office, warehouse, retail). When I was active duty for 8 years in the U.S.Navy, I was on 3 ships. Berthing compartments are often tight and crowded, along with work spaces.
As the years go by, I TRULY & GENUINELY embrace privacy and being SOLO.
If I could get better and be able to pass the D.O.T. physical, I would TRULY & GENUINELY go after an OTR truck driving career.
I do realize that many companies are using driver facing cameras, more so than ever before. I also realize that the trucking business is a TOUGH business that is HIGHLY regulated by the federal government, along with state regulations with the individual states.
Being alone for extended periods of time would NOT bother me one bit.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
OTR & LTL - over the mountains - through the woods - coast to coast - sea to shining sea
The OTR & LTL truck drivers of America are positively the driving force of our economy.Last edited: Apr 13, 2017
