Srick, thats awesome, glad to hear things are so far so good. If your trainer is letting you use his stuff he cant be all that bad. So you know im gonna pick your brain then. How is the equipment? Did he say how you are gonna run. Is it team style or will he actually be up in the seat training as you drive. Im sure I will have more to come. Good luck out there and be safe.

dragginmyfeet just to answer some of your questions the trainer is suppose to be up front while you are driving since you will only have your permit when you start. has far as the equipment it is all o5 thru 09 right now they are currently working on getting rid of the 05 for the 09s. it is all kenwoth t2000 or t600 and we also have freightliner columbias for the dedicated in geaorgia and a few other places. we also have got some new freightliner cascadia this year.

Spanky, I appreciate it. I know this is a pretty dumb question? And either way its good with me, but they make them equipment sound pretty nice. I have been the the Freightshaker columbia typical company truck before but thats about it. The website says they have a couple different goodies. How accurate is that?

the freightliners I can not tell you much about them as i have never been in one. the t2000 are pretty nice i have one of 09 it has power door lock, hes a real refrigerator with the built in freezer, but i have been told the cascadias were a whole lot nicer on the inside. all the over the road trucks do have the espar heaters in them all the trucks also have air release fifth wheels. I hope this helps you if you have any more questions i will try to answer them.

The equipment(as far as company trucks go) looks top of the line. I know they say fridges and what not but I just wanted to check. How much do you know about inverters. I think you can have up to a 1500watt right? Do they sell and install or do you do that outside of the company. You can power everything you need for quite a while with one of those right?

has far has inverters go they are pretty strict about what they allow in the truck. they do have one they sell and you have to buy all the wire for it and they will install it. i have heard some guys say you can buy one at the truckstop cheaper then theres and they will install it has long as it meets there requirements. the older trucks have those coolers that you plug in to keep it cool but they will do a good job just the new 09 have the real refrigerators in them. i dont know how long you can run everything off of a inverter as i dont have one in my truck.

Ok, My trainer has a T600 KW. It is pretty nice but it is kinda cramped wish he had a T2000. His truck has what's known as a Tripac. It's kinda like a seperate A/C and heater system for the bunk area, and boy does it come in handy. He has a 1500 inverter that the company installed for him in the truck but he only has a small cooler. Thats all I can think of right now. We finally got a load we had to pick up in columbus GA. and we have to bring it to Wisconsin by Monday, and we are leaving out tomorrow afternoon. I'll update more later.

So far so good. We had to swap trucks because on my morning pretrip I found a crack in the right front leaf spring on his trainer truck. No real big deal they had one spare truck and we are using that till his is fixed. Made a trip to Wisconsin with a load then pick a load up in WI now back down to Ga. That a little over 1600 miles in about 4 days. So far really good, I'm enjoying it. Oh one more thing, Spanky if you can tell me your truck number maybe I can say hi to ya some time at the Cartersville yard.
