Hey guys! I'm trying to figure out who to call to haul some intermodal stuff under my own MC. I feel like I'm missing something. Is there such a thing? Thanks in advance!

Call your customers, other carriers see if they have overflow work, the shiplines etc. Are you signed up with UIIA and have your scac code?

You'll at least need your own scac code and UIIA code. Work comes from either ship lines or picking up directly for customers.

    7seriestv Thanks this.

I am in the same boat about wanting to get in to Intermodal as my own carrier. I haven't done UIAA yet simply because I am not planning on getting Interchange insurance unless I have an actual customer in sight.

    7seriestv Thanks this.
