Never said it was 21 days total, I was saying 6 days of driving. I know its 21 of driving, that has been made clear to me from day one. And what I was told by more than one is the general rule is 3 hrs or more counts as a day. I am feeling good about getting done on time, everything is going good. Shift a lot better than I did when I started, and its funny, after driving the truck so much I feel at ease, and comfortable, much like driving a car. At first driving the big truck felt like a challenge, seems like I have gotten used to the feeling of being up high, and controlling such a big truck. Anyone else know what I am saying?
And about the logs, lets just say its very hard to get your trips to fall just right with the HOS laws. But the trips we have had, seem to pan out pretty good with ours, we were out 13 days with no reset, had a couple days of a lot of sitting, so that helped out. Not sure of the miles have to figure them up, but think it was around 2700 or so each week.

What I found weird was getting back into a car after being in a truck for three weeks. It's like 'Where the devil is the road? I can't see the road from this low!'

Sad but true,so many companies treat the drivers with ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT.Then they lie and don't have any reason for doing so.Instead they do what your recruiter did they hang up or dont call you back. These companies know theyre in the wrong and because they can get away with lieing ,not repecting the drivers, forcing them to run illegal then not paying them ,the list goes on and on.But unless something gets done about this unfortunately the trucken companies will never change. The law isn't any better because they get many complaints from drivers but does anything ever get done, nope they side with the companies.

Yeah it is the weirdest feeling in the world, I felt like I was sitting on the ground cause I went from a big ole semi to a car and what made it worse I kept reaching for the shifter and I have an automatic, LOL I dont do these things now but when I first started driving it was a big adjustment

I do most of the driving when hubby is on home time, just like he did back when I was driving. Especially now, because I just picked up a car with a 5-speed in it. The one time he tried to drive it, lets just say it was very funny! Most of the cars we have had, even though automatic had the shifter on the floor, so we just rest our hand on it.

Well, the biggest problem you'd have there is the difference in gearing. You cannot engage the clutch fully in a car without touching the gas. You can with pickup trucks. It's a little tougher with small pickups, but in a car it's all but impossible.

It's definitely impossible in a car. You let the clutch out on a car without giving it the right amount of gas, and you kill it!

You can too, just very slowly as to not overwhelm the engine and stall it
