For sure. Hummer is a good company. I left to try something I thought would make me more money but I'm thinking about going back.

 

I left because they were running 6×2 tractors, absolutely terrible in the snow. Came back last April and have no plans on leaving. Been here 2.5 years total between both stints. Dad just had his 5 year anniversary the end of March.

 

I started back Friday they put me in one of the new International's. Not sure what to think about the bendix system yet but I don't have much good to say about it.

 

Oh so you did decide to come on back then? I am going to give them a call, see if they will take a new graduate as long as they do Massachusetts area..

 

I'm not sure what area they are hiring students from but we do go in to Mass quite a bit

 

No APU's?

 

Don Hummer.Poor guy,i can only imagine what he went thru w/a name like that.We'd of had a field day w/a name like that back in school.

No apu's we are allowed to idle for our comfort. We do have bunk heaters but I only use them if it's above about 30 (battery won't last thru the night if it's any colder) none of our pay is based on fuel mileage so I don't worry about it
