I've always driven for companies with a terminal located within a close distance to my home, How do or where do some of you guys park?
I know not every one lives on a farm or has a large enough yard to park their truck and around here they hand out tickets if you even think about parking at shopping centers or grocery stores.
Something to think about for the new guys...B...:biggrin_2554:

When I first started I posted a request for parking on Craigslist and got a few responses. Some were other drivers with large yards, other were civic groups with large parking lots. As long as you have their permission to park there, it should be alright. Just be careful who is offering what.

If you don't have a truck stop close by, check with some local businesses that have large parking lots also. There's one person that obviously has a deal worked out with a local bowling alley to park his rig in the back of their lot, as I see the same truck there on a regular basis.

Yeah I would just go ask any business that has an over built parking lot that has room, just remember ask really nicely and dont be rude. Im lucky and have a super walmart that has dedicated truck parking spots, and I just leave my four wheeler there while im gone and they dont care. Helps that they have a parkinglot two times the size of the building and its never more than a 1/4 full.

I'm .. well, I won't say lucky, and it didn't really involve deliberate foresight...
I refused to buy a home in a convenanted community. (we fired one real estate agent who just couldn't seem to get the concept down).

As a result, I can park anything I want to next to my house - and, as it happens, it's just about 70 feet from the sidewalk to the fence. Plenty of room for a tractor. And the space is wide enough that if I bring a trailer home, I can park the tractor next to it.

And the city won't complain. Neither will my neighbors.

Some walmarts won't let you park there. Even if you are delivering there.
