If your tractor has twin-screws it should have come with a differential lock off the lot.
I doubt that a road tractor would run with a "tag" axle unless it was a straight truck in a former life.

After thinking about it, I think they replaced the diff's and I just heard him wrong. I should get the maintenance records soon.

DL - Your parents must be so proud to have such a responsible young man! You seem to be on the right path. There's so much information here for you. Continue on with educating yourself. Read, ask questions then apply it. Know the ins and outs of everything. Never give up on your dream. Seems like you have what it takes to achieve your goal.

Here's things to ask yourself before you finalize any deal:

-Is this a dream? Yes it is

-Is your heart in it? Yes it is

-Do you really like driving? No I love it

-Would you mind spending your life on a road? No I wouldn't

-Are you willing to sacrifice one thing for another every once in a while? Yes I am

-Do you mind getting dirty and fixing your own equipment? No I love getting my hands dirty

-For the first year or so after driving do you mind saving money to put back for breakdowns, repairs and other nessessary things? No cause it's vital to my success

-Do you mind sacking out outrageous money for insurance? No I don't cause if I want to stay in business it's a requirement that I pay my insurance

-Can you keep good records? Yes I can

-Are you organized? Yes I am

-Do you have a plan? Yes I do

Based on what little I know, you still live at home so you technically have no living expenses, you have no baggage (kids, wife, wtc.) and most of all you aren't putting college on hold. I have seen the both the heartache and rewards that go along with being an O/o, KNOWLEDGE is the key to success. Many O/os fail due to mismanagement of money and not educating themselves before they jumped in. Set your goals, aim for the moon but shoot for the stars. Listen to everything and apply what you need. Good luck my friend.

That was what I thought with the power divider. I won't get any pictures of it until I get my new phone so it'll be a couple weeks before you get to see any picture of her.

I got an idea! I'm due for a raise up to $10.00 an hour in a couple weeks. I get paid every 2 weeks and I should net $400 each check for a total of $800 for the month. Well I figure for truck payments I'll pay $400 taking $200 out of each check. Then I'd put the rest in the bank. It'll take me 15 months to pay the truck off at $6,000 also I put the other $400 in the bank and by the time the truck is paid for I'd have $6,000 in the bank while the other $6,000 went towards the truck!

I got the truck! $6,000 at $300 a month, he is gonna get it road ready for me but I think I'm gonna put my share into it. We are gonna make a written agreement. I'm excited that we finally got it finalized but just need to get it in writing!
