Knife laws are worse then gun laws. It can vary not only from state to state but town to town. Unless it's a switch blade I really doubt it's a felony anywhere though

Just looked @ Maine: very open about knives. The exceptions, of course, dirks, switchblades & stilettos. Small sheathed, quick draw, auto-open blades - basically meant to assist in crime.

Of course, should the authority ask you about any weapons - I'd list mine. And as above I'd state 'It's for utilitarian purposes' (the job).

That's just a kit hen knife....

Mine goes in my vest (or atleast it will when I figure out the mounting of the sheath) opposite my flare gun.

I do like a good kit hen knife tho, hate it when I go to chop something and it's dull. I had some really good knifes but lost them along my travels.

On my list to get is another double action otf one I got the trigger slide broke but the blade was shot anyways. Its a clone of a 500$ knife. Microtech Scarab. I would like to own the authentic eventually.

I always just carried a box cutter with a fresh blade in it. Probably sharper then most guys knives anyways.

Wüsthof or Boker when you settle down and need some kitchen knives. Worth every cent.

Boker also makes some good fixed blade carry along knives.

In context of OTR Trucking? I think 1 DOT is enough.
