Don't know the brand I had. Very very sharp. And they held up great. It was one of those demos in a bjs you know the one, saw the hammer in half then slice the tamatoe? Yep. But they were great. It's like tools. Some of the best I own I have no clue where they came from or who made them but I'll put the against my best snap on stuff haba

Steels, grind and construction matter the most with knives. In general, USA makes the best knives. Germany, Japan, Scandinavian countries are all good. Spyderco and Benchmade are my personal favorites, made in USA. Made in China is generally crap. China lies about their steels. Carry on.

I really enjoy my spyderco knives, all folding. Most fit in a pocket wonderfully, though some will look like your package wants to shake hands, lol.
Never had an issue with any of them, but I think all are under 3" though too.

if you want a pocket tool with a utility knife included, look into Leatherman. Their products are top notch. Made in USA. Nobody will say "that's a weapon" but they do have a sharp well made knife included. I carry a leatherman and a folding knife.

I like my Smith & Wesson border guard. Serves it's purpose, and definitely not a 3 inch blade 20170424_095242.jpg

20170424_100205.jpg I carry a S&W 1st response now. This knife is like a bad penny, I cannot get rid of It! If I were to throw it out the window, doing 80, I'd find it in my shoe or something the next day.

But I've had it for years and it still carries an edge great for being a cheap knife, though I really hate the serrated edge. Still unsure why I got it, since I've never liked that style blade.
I wish I could keep my spyderco knives long enough to enjoy them fully. But they seem to fly out of pockets and run away.
