I bought my truck with junk tires, it was Sunday and the only place open was Loves with choice of Aeolus for $300 or Michelin for $600. I went with Aeolus and it looks like I will be replacing them before winter. Total usage I would say will be about 220k. No issues with tires except short life
-
Dont think 220k is to short a life for chinese tires or for drive tires for that matter, worse thing is thire shops wont give you a core on them
tax Thanks this. -
That's horrible life out of a drive tire. A good set of drive tires will go 400k easy.Hurst Thanks this.

You can get 200,000 out of a set of recaps. I'd rather have recaps than chinese. They're cheaper and probably run truer.
spyder7723 Thanks this. -
you get what you pay for at times

My old man ran those on his truck. Lasted just as long as anything else for a lot less. Of course he was in the bush all the time and even expensive tires don't last long in mud.

I got over 400kout of some cheap Hankook drives. DL07's to be exact.
I'm on General HD660 right now. About 50k into them. Wearing even so far. Too early to really give an honest over all opinion.spyder7723 and fargonaz Thank this. -
Hankooks last surprisingly long. But that rolling resistance is rather high on the models i have looked up.Hurst Thanks this.

So a Chinese tire can last as long as a Michelin can nowadays huh? How many dollars are you saving over the life of the tire? Does putting some American or Canadian to work somewhere mean zero..? I do not believe the quality is there for Chinese tires.
Flame suit on..3ARTransport Thanks this.
