They were okay. I averaged I think $1.67/mi all miles. Averaged like $1600/week profit, being conservative, as I put away some for things that might pop up and might not.

This week was eh. Got a load right outta Flint to TN like 630 miles $950. Then i deadheaded 130 miles for a heavy metal load $975 to GA, 430 loaded mi.

Then I made what I feel was a mistake. I took a load of peanuts to MN for like $1.55/mi. 44lbs. I don't know why I took it. But it just felt right at the time. 1300mi $2000. Stupid. Then Friday in MN it was so bad that I just about got stuck there all weekend. I was nervous.

Booked a load 30mi away in Mankato going home to MI for like $1.85. 10 mins later they cancel. I hadn't planned to go home but after booking the load I was excited to go home again. So when they cancelled, I was heartbroken, it being Easter and all.

After lunch, a few loads popped up. Grabbed a 80 mi deadhead to pick up a load of beans to NW AR, 705 loaded for $1300 45lbs and I was lucky to get it. The whole time I'm driving to pick this up, I was nervous they were gonna cancel. Landstar load. I don't like dealing with them for some reason. But pickings were extremely slim. That load was probably my only chance.

So I'm sitting on $5225 on 3500 all miles. $1700 profit this week. Piss poor.

Lots of nursery loads on the board for Monday but doubt they will pay what I need for 9 drops. 3 days, for 500 miles, I'd quote like $3000 and would go down to like $2700 if I had to. Doubt they'd pay that. We'll see what the board is like Monday.

Got here in Springdale AR and I had booked the last parking spot online thru my phone. I get there and fuel and of course the lot is completely full. I go inside and tell them I booked a parking spot and wanted to know which one it was and who I gotta kick out.

They went out there and took care of it while I went into Burger King. Last night I walk down to the bar and sang karaoke and had a few beers. Walked back and followed an armadillo for like 100 feet!! Was friggin sweet. Never saw one before. Now I'm sitting here in my truck just chilling to Smashing Pumpkins and vaping out the window people watching. Wondering if anyone else here is as lonely as I am right now.

Happy Easter everybody. He is risen!

IMG_1919.JPG Yep,some of us are sitting out here doing the same thing! I'm normally home every weekend but took a load Friday that paid awesome delivering on Saturday morning. I could have deadhead home but booked a load for Monday out of ft Wayne IN back to Chicago for Monday. This is only the second time out over the weekend this year. I should be able to handle it. I feel sorry for you guys that do it all the time but it dose hurt the numbers going home almost every time.

I picked up a load today that delivers 60 miles away at midnight. I get an additional $350 for holiday pay. I try to work every holiday.

I'm sitting in Tifton, Georgia to get loaded tomorrow morning. I haven't been home since the third, but it helps not being married. Now if only i could get a better rate haha. Granted, I would probably say that no matter what I got.

I misspoke. It turns out this customer isn't covered under the holiday pay. That's the bad news.

The good news is they are "book rate" AND I got a backhaul with two stops in town. It works out to over $4/mile for a 200 mile round trip. I'm good with that.

Waiting for the first "in town" customer to open the gates to offload most of the deck.

So I left off in Springdale AR.

I took a load from there to Newport, TN, then a shortish run to somewhere near Tupelo, MS, then up to Charlotte then I got $900 on a straight thru 275mi run to a grocery warehouse and got $50 detention.

Then last Friday I bid on a 3 drop load up to Pierre, SD, stop in STL and IA. I ended up empty a day early, on Tuesday. I think I had bid about $500 too low. $3325 on 1500 miles. But getting empty a day early helped. Then I got kinda lucky there in Pierre, there was nothing out there. CHR called on my truck offering another 3 dropper loading 30mi away going to SC and GA. All relatively close. I took it for $2750. Not what I wanted but the guy pretty much made me beg for the load. 1577 miles. So $6075 on the round trip Friday through Thursday. I was able to get all 3 drops in today.

Sitting on $15,400 gross on 8922 all miles for the past 3 weeks with this weekend to go.

I will likely end this 3 week stretch with avg $2200 profit over the 3 weeks. $1700 the first week, then maybe $4800-$5000 for last week and this week. Kinda clumping these 2 weeks together because I won't get paid for the run up to SD until next week. So tomorrow's paycheck will be small but next week's will be for $6075 gross plus whatever I get over the weekend.

It's nice to have some good weeks back to back. Things have been busier and I been running hard.

Hoping to get $2200 on something tomorrow that don't go to North East but we'll see. I only have enough hours left on my 70 to go maybe 1200 miles.

I might go up to MI but let's see if they offer enough. I'd like to go back up to IA but seems like they don't really wanna pay much.

Someone called on my truck posted for Friday tomorrow with a load to Iowa that they offered $1800 on 1200 miles. I politely let them know that last time I went there from this area it was $1.80 and ok it was a glass bottle load but it still paid that, but I didn't tell them that part. I countered with $2200 which I think is fair for the market. He said he'd put my offer in and check back tomorrow if he don't have it covered but I didn't see it posted on the board last time I checked.

My total rpm isn't that bad, but it was that stupid cheap and heavy load of peanuts that I took from Atlanta to MN for $1.50 before Easter that brought that down a bunch.

    Hope it gets even busier.
