No bonuses. Our complete pay package combined will have in the 55k range your first year. Then if you decide to train, that will bump you up to 80+ and in my case, on track for 90+

That's going to take time to write out. I'm driving right now. I'll reply later. I'm pretty sure it was written out by me the last few weeks. In any event, if none of my fellow steering wheel holders has time, they'll let you know.

Avoid those Megas!!! Abilene is a good place to start, and end, ones driving career!!!

Oh, and when you do go OTR with Abilene, this thread will be the best source of info you can find... Period... so do NOT fall off the thread, the time will come when you will need some info and sooner than later.

I'm sure I will leave something out but the basics are as follows:

Paid Training: salary until they cut you loose after training. So no need to worry about "how many miles" the first several weeks.

All the normal insurances. Health, Dental, Vision, Life, blah blah blah... I didn't have those so someone else will have to give you the details but it's a very good package.

Options for OTR and NE Regional. If OTR, solo start at 36 CPM then 37 after six months and then 38 after two years.

No bonuses to screw around with tracking and coming up short. Basically, you drive they pay. Pretty simple.

If OTR, out 6 home 1.... most take every other weekend off but others accumulate time off to take a few weeks off at a time.

Great Freight which is normally 100% No Touch. They have great customers that we haul and then lots of brokered loads to get back into position.

Great Equipment .... mostly Volvos and KWs but a few Shakers and Macks too. After a year of good hard driving and prove yourself to be a good driver, you will likely end up in a new or one year old truck.

You will get frustrated at times, as one can read in this thread, but it's a bunch of good people both inside and out on the roads.

If you are just now finishing school and getting your CDL ... START HERE!!!

    Summary:
    Good Company
    Great Freight
    Awesome Equipment.

Oh, and a simple little thing that means A LOT... hometime... I'm not saying you will get your requested hometime each and every time... (hey, welcome to trucking) ... BUT... if/when you need to be someplace... and I mean you really NEED to be someplace... they MAKE it happen.

That's worth a couple CPMs right there.

What are the trucks governed at? I'm hoping to get 3,000 miles a week, consistently (I'll make sure I put in the work), is that possible? Do you have loads and preplans queued up do you have to wait for your next load?

72 on cruise, 69 on pedal. 3k a week is easy. You may get a low week occasionally but that is often due to delays at shippers/receivers not because there isn't enough freight.

Pre-plans are rare. Might wind up sitting between loads. Again, not because there are no loads, but more to do with how things work here. It's frustrating as hell, but the miles still rack up so just have to weather the wait.

Have you had it turned up?. Back in Feb the nod was given to bump up the limiter, but pretty sure it only happens if you go to the shop and request it.
