S%#t!!!! Some guys are on their third set by that millage.
-
It's usually injector cups, roughly $1000 all together with labor at a dealer
-
My mechanic sad 4 injectors out of 6 are bad. And it has vibration when it idles. It doesn't have now any symptoms of bad cuppers. I just bought this truck and Happy don't know what's been done before. But seems like it's too soon for injectors to go that bad at this millage.

282k on mine and had 2 sets of injectors and cups. First set at 147k, second at 270k.Last edited: Apr 28, 2017
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
in what world every dealer you go to will tell you cups and injectors right away i've gotten away with replacing only one sometimes. but i just had one open the other day that had 5 ####ed injectors. this is very normal i will not offer to warranty this job anymore cuz there is no proper way of doing it if you are lucky maybe they can last 5 or 6 years but highly unlikely every year seems more like it to me.QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this.

Thank you guys!
Nasriza so what's killing those high fuell pressure injectors so fast? Is it fuell quality? Quality of injectors itself? Fuell injection, system design issue? -
Wasn't the D13 killed off by Volvo because of all its issues?
-
I think it was Volvo D16. They just discontinued this year Volvo D16 in USA not D13.

I feel for you. But sadly I can top this. With 178k miles on my truck I am on my 4th motor. First one spun the rods and bearings due to a build issue. The next two fell victim to cross contamination. This last time the entire motor and from the charge air cooler through and including the clutch was replaced. So far so good.
KB3MMX Thanks this.
