Some of these guys they are hiring they are just setting them up for failure. Guys with only a few years experience I was at a vendor the other day and there was another Walmart driver there who couldn't back straight down a football field. We got to talking only be driving a truck for 3 years. Said he's already had an accident at Walmart said he just got off probation
Slow and overhired

All brick and mortar stores are slowing down due to ecommerce. Amazon even delivers groceries in some metro areas, I can order right now and have food delivered within 4 hours lol.
Walmart is focused on ecommerce now also, offering 2 day shipping for free and 3% cash back using the Walmart CC for online orders. -
Walmart is doing away with home grocery delivery using company trucks. We got 15 on the yard they are selling and the drivers got let go

It probably depends on the area you're in. I'm on the east coast out of the Sutherland dc. I'm averaging just under 2500 miles a week right now and I'm still slip seating.georgear1084 and BackIsSore Thank this.

I ran 2700 miles last week. I run out of 6023
BackIsSore Thanks this. -
Going to have to follow the money. It's looking to be a 1700 mile week again. I came in and they said they're asking anyone with 5 or less hours to lay down.
Seen on the fb page there's several stores running gm with heartland trailers and trucks down in the sw. No Walmart equipment involved. Makes you wonder what is up with that? -
They sure are quick to hire and do away with people when something doesn't go right. Makes sense, but kind of sad.
