I was searching the web for reports of my accident and ran accross your forum. You are correct, the cab did seperate and so did the flatbed, the motor, the fuel tanks, and the chasse. The passenger side of the cab was hit and almost destroyed by the product I was hauling. I flipped end over end and the only part of the truck not damaged was the driver's seat. Another truck driver stopped to assist me, he busted the driver's window and I crawled out. I was standing on the side of the road when the trooper and EMT folks arrived. I never even blacked out.

Glad to hear you're alive and well! The scene sure didn't look like anyone survived. It gives me the heebie-jeebies when I see something that looks like a fatality.

I just went past another rollover accident this morning on I-440 in Raleigh, NC... that one was pretty bad too. The car was crushed flat so bad, it looked it it fell off one of those trucks carrying junk cars to the scrap recyclers.

It almost caused a secondary accident when all the four-wheelers slowed down to have a look. Even though I had a mile of free space in front of me, as soon as they saw the flashing blue lights and the news truck, they all converged in the center lane, right in front of me, to have a look see—leaving me practically ZERO room to stop. Thankfully I was already on the Jake when I saw it up ahead... the brakes were smoking like hell by the time I got it stopped.

I think they watch too much NASCAR here—they drive crazy as hell!

Glad to hear you are alive and back to work. I'll bet you got some bruises! A few stitches aren't too bad. My boy scouts would tell you to just rub some dirt on it.
