Because it's their company and they make the rules. Don't like them go lease on elsewhere. You do realize flexibility can increase your bottom line? Why would you not have every endorsement for any option available out here? Money talks. When someone needs you because they can't find anyone else with tanker, doubles, or haz-mat that's a bonus for you. It's not difficult nor expensive to get so what is your issue with it?

 

Because they have a requirement that all BCOs and 3PL owners have to have a hazmat endorsement. They do not always know who gets a hazmat load and had some agents lie about it not being hazmat load and the truck gets there and it is one but the driver took it anyway, it is bad for them to have that happen.

 

It may not make much sense to you, but they want everybody to be uniform. It does make a lot of sense in the scope of managing a large system.
