So, there are some threads about those dollar stores. I thought I'd make a thread with some cool pictures to show how much fun you can have making deliveries to them. Here is a Dollar Tree in a strip mall in White Bear Lake, MN. Looks pretty harmless. So... which driveway shall we take, A, B, C, D or E?

I would think the natural choice is A, the truck entrance. That puts the driver in an uncomfortable position, because he will realize he is facing the wrong way and has to get turned around.
It seems that many drivers chose C. They ended up having to jump the curb by the back corner of the building. Somebody decided to stop trucks from doing that, and placed a large boulder on that curb. Not much fun getting out of that mess.
When I asked the people at the store how to get to their store, they told me E. The only way to enter through E is to go into a residential neighborhood so you can take a right turn into E. Probably not a good idea.
B or D are the ones that work. If you knew that, you probably delivered to this store.

Why not run A and just park next to the curb? Its what everyone ive ever seen there do. Used to do the rolloff cans at festival foods.... (when they were still a festival foods....)
-
I'm confused to how he would be facing the wrong way with A. Isnt Dollar stores unloaded with rollers? B and D put you into the parking lot. I would never have done that deliberately. But I know some customers you have too.

If you go in A and park next to the curb it is difficult to have the rollers connect from the trailer to the store. The manager told me I had to face the other way. I guess more assertive drivers aren't forced to do the things I suffered through.
scythe08 Thanks this. -
"E" would be my choice if that road didn't have a median strip, but you can't make a left into there.

Looking at the intersection at D. If the intersection at E was as big, I would do a Uturn ,when safe ,there. What a PITA!!

Oh I see it now. Go up B and turn there and then left then back all the way to the dollar store. I just saw the parking lot and dont look any farther. Been out of that scene for a while. I used to do alot of king soopers, Smith's, and Albertsons and they were always irritating
