I know this really REALLY sucks LARGE! I had to make a run to Yellowknife on the weekend...was REALLY tough to find fuel...then onto FT Nelson.BC yesterday...NOBODY had fuel & those that did were rationing 200 litres/fill...can't go far on that!

Well, I had about 2/3 fuel when I parked my truck 2 weeks ago ... I hope it's still there. :biggrin_25523:

Actually, I am not too worried about that. However, this trip I am going south via Vancouver rather than my usual straight shot south so I hope I don't run into any problems. This is sure a strange situation though, especially being that Alberta is the centre of the Canadian oil patch

I left for Whitehorse on Friday night..no fuel in Edmonton, so couldn't fuel, made it to Dawson Creek & had to wait 10 hours for fuel truck to arrive...NOBODY had fuel, was OK once I got north of Fort Nelson, but anywhere south of there is either rationing or out.

I sure hope to straightens out soon! I heard that 700 trucks were shut down in Saskatoon cause there was no fuel.

Last week came up from the south to Vancouver not knowing what a mess things were in the west, filled up in Merrit on the way to Grande Prairie, Ab only to find that there was no diesel fuel in GP, but the Husky said there was a fuel truck on the way, After spending the better part of the day delivering and picking up my load for Edmonton I stopped in at the Husky only to find the fuel truck never made it.

I figured I had enough to make it at least to Whitecourt where I was able to fill again at the Husky.

There was a bunch of trucks sittin that did not have the same option :(

Typically, even while his 'Economic Reform Policies' and 'Royalty Taxation' is set on cruise control, who else is to blame other than this bein' ALL AB. PREMIER ED STELMACH'S FAULT!!!

(I heard that this kind of thing only happens through 'transitional times' during a swing in the Economy- these things are supposed to change for the better in the Industry, that when the big 'Economic Picture' has been put through the ringer... Iz when we start back at a clean slate and a newly refined economy.. One can only wonder if this info through the MSM channels if this is accurate news?)

The current shortage has absolutely nothing to do with the economy or any government policies and everything to do with three refineries being shut down or at significantly reduced capacity for legitimate operational issues.
