I'm interested in this company as they are the only major cryogenic without cameras. But they seem so hard to get on with from what I'm told. I have a buddy that got fired from a former company we worked at. And he went on to get into cryo. After he explained the field to me I wanted to do it. But I only beleave in private companies. But with 13yrs driving and 9yr tanker, good backround and clean mvr I can't get a call back.

If you can , go down there and Shake somebody's hand.
The Air Products near me is always hiring and they only have just a few trucks so that makes me a little worried. either guys are leaving because they don't like what's there or it's really easy to get fired from there

I've been by the terminal and I know 2 drivers at that yard and one at another yard.

If you can, any online app should be followed by an in person visit. Where I just got hired, I submitted the online app almost 2 weeks ago, and the supervisor just received the app yesterday from their HR dept. Had I not followed up the next day after applying, I most likely would have missed out.

A little tip for those of you under 40,,
All of these apps and emails, on line applications are ok but, the overwhelming majority of people who are going to hire you are my age or older(I'm 58) we still belive in the old fashioned face to face meeting and a firm handshake!
And yes, first impressions make a hell of a difference!! Don't go in there looking like you just crawled out of a dumpster or your applying for membership in the Cripts!
Some of us still believe that the driver represents the company.
I will get of the soap box now.

I'm too much of a professional operator to go into a place looking foolish.

    18 years with Air Products

They are talking about installing cameras but only forward facing with no voice. It's only on the talking stage right now. It's been in the talking stage for years. One of these days it will happen.

HR receives all applications. Then it goes to the terminal manager. Then driver safety department. Visiting the terminal manager won't get you a leg up. I did find that having a current employee as your reference will get you noticed. Driver safety has final say on who's in or out. Yes, they will look into your background with a fine tooth comb. They will take their time hiring drivers, sometimes months. A lot of terminals are always hiring. A lot of that has to do with the fact that they are picky. Too picky in my opinion.

The majority of our drivers are bulk delivery drivers. However, we have drivers that do other things and driving is incidental to their jobs. Plant operators, customer sites service and maintenance, refinery and pipelines, even medical systems, all have class A with X endorsements.

Air products is strict on safety. If you have a problem with that then don't bother applying.

    Good luck.
