I recently updated the maps on my TND730 (been a really long time since I updated it) getting an error that my map license is expired or invalid (Some of the map regions have expired). I was under the impression that the 730 came with lifetime maps (the dock says that I am registered for it).
This is really really inconvenient is there some sort of fix for this? -
Connect your TND to the computer, close the Dock if it pops up. Look for the drive that has the TND. Look for the Navi folder. Look for the file navi.cfg. Delete this and only this file. Disconnect and the message should go away.
Now if you get a "pop-up" that is an error message then your maps did not fully download. The license is one of the last files to download. For this start a "Conversation" with me and I will have to send you a file and some instructions to "fake" the Dock into downloading the maps again.
High speed internet is suggested. MCD or Denny's Wi-Fi is not. This is about a 4gb download.
Thanks,
MarkByx Thanks this. -
I don't think it's been released yet. -

Hey Mark, on the Overdryve, do you know if it has Google play store or that stupid Amazon store?

Ok, been using the TND-740 about a week now, so far so good, i for some reason have GPS issues lately, i don't know if it is my truck or if the GPS Satellites are having issues as it affects my Qualcomm GPS as well, but routing has been very good for the most part, so far i am pretty pleased with it, I did have to use some double back tape on the mount so it wouldn't constantly fall off, but i also just spent $5500 on new shocks and drives so that will probably help too
So Far so good -
disregard
