Have a stop at 120 Passaic St. Hackensack, NJ on Monday 5/15 at 1400. I will be coming in from the south (95 north) from Monroe Township.
I have googled, searched the forum, consulted NJ DOT, Rand McNally road atlas, looked at google earth and street view and I'm not confident that this is going to go smoothly. I like to have a plan A-B-C when delivering into areas like this and I haven't settled on a plan A.
Main St is the North South Truck route through eastern Hackensack. It looks like I can access it from SR 4 or Essex St. I can push west to the stop on Passaic from Main but after delivery turning around could be a problem. I am delivering to Hackensack Market.
If anyone has some intel I'd be grateful to hear. Margin for error here seems low.
Help me get onto and out of N. Jersey

You can run route 4 to Hackensack ave (route 503 S ) turns into River st. (still route 503)
Turn right (W) on E.Passaic st. (route 62) then reverse to get back to route 4 west to route 17 and get to anywhere you want . I hope this will help.old scummy, Suspect Zero and Puppage Thank this. -

take the turnpike north to 80 west, being sure to stay to the right for the local lanes. get off at exit 66 which loops you around to the right and then make the left on hudson. when you get around the courthouse continue to the left onto essex. then make a right onto the first railroad ave, on the east side of the tracks. that's one way to your right. follow railroad down to passaic. the market will be on your right. unfortunately i never delivered that market, i only did gold bay trading which is on your right before passaic.
what time is your appt.? the only trouble i can see is will there be enough room for you to turn around behind the store. streetview looks like you have to go in the front entrance because of that white vinyl fencing behind.
to come out go back to railroad, only this time take the railroad ave. on the far side of the tracks, that one is one way back down to essex. turn right on green and when you get back to 80 you can go either wayold scummy Thanks this. -

I'd prefer to just make the delivery and go about my business .I'm not worried about damaging my equipment or property, I am worried about service failure.

All of my trips into Jersey have been adventures! The people there have always welcomed me and been incredibly friendly and warm. It's why I signed up for trucking.
I can't wait to get back. I just hope things go my way I can do it right. Nothing like a cop leading you up the wrong way on a one way street with kids chasing alongside demanding the horn.
