Wayne is in Gallop NM right now on his way to Cali for his last load before home time. This load drops at 8am Wednesday. They set this load up for him and his home time was to start Wednesay. He doesn't know if he is gonna have the hours to even drive home after this load. I am crossing my fingers. It has been a long 3 and almost a half weeks. His trainer is gonna go solo and stop training and wait for him to get his 90 days in. Once Wayne is on the Dole route, he will be through once a week, which is good for the kids and I. Our youngest misses him a lot. Once he gets here she can finally see him in his truck...lol...She has been waiting for that.

Well I got the call today the old girl has been sold. Sounds good a new truck no miles but then here comes paperless. I told my D/M I would try it for 2 weeks after the break in period that is where you run for 1 week both paper and paperless. If I see a mager change in miles then it's off I go. I'm just not into that much control slow trucks can't fudge might as well go local. Will see.

It will take the planners at least a month to get use to it.
Till then, loads will be late, drivers quitting, and low miles.
I am glad to not have to see that transition.
I believe in 2-4 months it will be better than now though. Miles will probably get more consistent, around the 3000-3200 mark all the time.

Wayne made it home Tuesday afternoon. He was happy to be home. His DM found someone to take the load the rest of the way to L.A. from Kingman AZ. He couldn't wait to get here. They haven't mentioned the paperless to him yet. He is hoping it doesn't happen until after he goes team. His trainer hasn't gotten the paperless yet either but he heard everyone has to by the end of Nov.

Does Central seem to have enough miles a week for the western region drivers at this time.

It's good to hear from you as well. Been pass'n up and down old 25 even saw an old C/O white in color sitt'n on a little hill with a red barn behind it. Tell me that was your cause thats the only one I saw LOL E. side of the interstate. Still need to do lunch at Johnson corner one of these days.

They said I gotta turn the old truck in asap can't tell if I get a new truck or there gonna terminate me from the force. I have not been happy for awhile. Still gett'n miles. Will see.

Pay checks have no avg. all depends on miles by the time you get a truck you will be paperless so miles may be less for solos and more for teams. Right now I avg 3,000 but I still do paper I see about 2,000 to 2,200
per week for a solo times .29

They haul for anyone but dole kraft and coors are 3 but these are dedicated that take 6 mounths of being a company driver first.

Wait time 2 to 3 hrs as a rule some drop and hook bout 20%

You run with a trainer for four weeks and the life dependes on your trainer.

Things are changing at Central with paperless coming on miles will drop but as they work the bugs out miles may pick up only time will tell also look winter is here and things do slow down. You will have to try it and then answer some of your question yourself this job dosen't work for everyone.

    best of luck.
