I'd rather drive through a few snow events every year than to have to run up and down 81 every week or two... that highway is the PITs...

Like what WinnyF1 said you should look into a tech school. I don't know where you live but here in GA where I went to school it was only about $1200 for the course and the state paid for all of it but 50 bucks and I had to pay for the books which was another 120. And if you're a vet I know schools get a kickback from the Feds for training you and my school was kind enough to give me some of that so my school didn't cost me anything but my time. But if you go with Schneider I hear tanker is the way to go.

 

Yea, but no snow in May where I run now. Plus, 81 is a welcome change. After all the times I ran 90/94 from northern IL thru WI to MN in the last 18 mos., I feel the same about that stretch of highway as you do about 81.

 

Yea, 90/94 gets old. But way less traffic outside of Chicago and easy to find parking... unlike 81. Just my opinion... but that's my second least favorite highway after 65.
Well... 95 is worst, then 65 and 81 tied

 

My very first week here I had 3700 miles. I was like dang this place is crazy! Lol

 

At least east of Mississippi. ..I'm not required to carry chains..or take them on/off..multiple times a day...like out west

 

Good thing I like to show up an hour early! Entrance to shipper! Lol btw... we are parked here waiting. I'm not driving!

 

Quit talking about snow! You guys are putting the curse on me. 7-12" for Lookout today.
