More Old Trucks On The Road?

Fired her up yesterday. That thing is LOUD inside a trailer. Found a youtube video of the exact same machine as what we have....

After looking st the video it came to me, my uncle has basically the same compressor on the original wagon frame setup. 6-71DD, it was owned by a vocational school and has very low hours. Sadly he retired and it is just setting, honey suckle starting to grow up on it.
That is a nice sized unit rank, should last many years. I know you didn't ask but, may I recommend straight weight Oil..?? Let us know how that beast does

 

WHAT! Sorry my ears still aren't back to normal .

She has a little oil leak (see pic of left side of block). What do you think will happen if take those bolts off @OLDSKOOLERnWV?

 

@rank , that is just the hand hole covers. Go ahead and take them off lol, when you pull them off you will be able to look directly at the ports in the liners. Crank the engine and actually see the piston go up and down through the ports. Those in another sense are air box covers, 1 for each cylinder. That whole area is pressurized with air by the blower when running.

Don't know how many times I've heard "aw just use anything" it will be fine! Then you hear all the horror stories about what junk a Detroit is... from these same guys using engines slobbering with wore out rings lol.
