    Speaking of, do you know where your backhaul will come from? I used to do Long Island runs twice a week which were a piece of cake. It was the backhauls that could get interesting.

    Or are you just shooting back home to CT immediately afterward?

    Lol.... well, I'm deadheading to Columbus to pick up a load back to WI. That probably doesn't help you though.

    Ha! I'm in Columbus. I'll get you in there!

    That's a crazy deadhead. You're getting off easy coming to Columbus.

    Everyweek I usually have a 450 mile dead head from Buffalo to Hamilton OH. It's nice being light but that wind that comes across the lakes and down through Ohio SUCKS....I'm always light (rarely pulling over 20k), and getting blown around isn't a ride ilike to take. Lol

    Yep did that route too, sunrise highway. Your actually lucky. I'll take long island any day over the boroughs. Receivers still are tight in that area but most are easy! No Parkway! No Parkway, No Cry.

    Thanks mullet. These are experimental runs. Looks like we are already (internally) looking to get away from them. Next week I have a similar run but going to Baldwin instead. Ill be honest, I have no use for the city and want nothing to do with it. I'd rather be in the country driving in snow then 80 degrees and dealing with city people. (No offense) I grew up in southern New England. Only place I want to be is in northern NE, or west. Lol. I moved for a reason.

    @leforrest -
    Where are you picking up in Columbus? Good chance I've been there at some point.

    Well, it went well this morning. I went in early and it paid off, however the ride out sucked. Lol....i just swung the truck in the street and backed in. Thank you to all that responded. I always tend to get anxious when im walking into something sight unseen. You guys are great!

    Bob, Im picking up at Coke.

    Cool. I'm assuming you're talking about the one on Watkins Road. You will see a no trucks sign off of Alum Creek Drive, but it's okay to turn onto Watkins to go to Coke as long as you don't go any further. When you leave Coke just make sure to make a right turn. Turning left out of Coke is where you would get into trouble.
