Of course, I (like most reefer guys) was busier than a one armed paper hanger in November and December, but got the usual lull after the holidays. But, it was actually slow for me well into February and part of March.

I run Northwest to East coast and back (avg LOH of 2500 miles) and winter slowed me down some. I haven't had to throw a chain in five years and had to do it 5 times this winter and was actually shut down for a couple of days on two or three different occasions.

Heck, I-80 in Wyoming is still getting shut down for storms (shut down today for winter weather), ####.

However, the past month my weekly average has jumped from about 2300 miles per week to 3300.

I'm not complaining! Got a brand new truck 2.5 weeks ago and she's got 7109 on the clock (had 12 when I picked her up). :)

Yes freight looks to be picking up but the rates still suck and could be a lot better then what they have been. I run from California to the east and then to the south back to Texas. I avg last turn 1.92 a mile I am happy.

    Frank Speak Thanks this.
