That ain't going to happen, can not transfer the cars or truck out of state.
I thought Texas was a "free" state where personal freedoms ruled but it is a lot like New York?

You're right, it's pretty ironic that the state known for personal freedom and talks of secession has such Byzantine rules. I couldn't believe they require vehicle inspections, I mean that's the realm of California and those snooty north eastern states that know everything. -
Just take a job that hauls to 2 states, most oilfield jobs in the panhandle dont require you to change youre license as you go thru TX/OK.

Yes you do.I moved here from n.d.and no company would hire me until I had a Texas license.let me remind you that you can't get a Texas license unless you have your vehicle registetef ,inspected and insured in this state. .seems screwed up to me..even some non cdl companies won't hire you fir a job even if it don't involve driving for them...
