. No unresolved issues at all! But we would like to simplify and leave it in US if possible and safe. Yes we are bringing trailer which is a step deck. Thought was to haul stuff out and see the country as well as pay the way.
-
That sounds like a good possibility if we can determine where to leave truck/trailer and get on train.

Years ago I rented Winnebago and we drove all over Alaska parking at Walmarts and Fred Meyers but I didn't know if that was still ok. Didn't want to count on it and would rather leave rig secured.

Not here in Arkansas they wont.
With that said if you make nice with the Manager and leave said person feeling good about life in general you might get a spot for a while. It's going to be a in a far corner though.
We had some land on our property and took the bobtail home. Now cranking at 2 am did not happy neighbors make but they understood it might be 6 months before we get back so.. they forgive and forget.
There are places around town to park a bobtail. A truckstop is best. But also double edged sword if there is crime focused on it. Trailers generally went there with a kingpin lock.
Recently people have been clearing trucks out of the gravel spots around town near shops etc being sold. Times are changing and I can feel it. Not sure where they are gonna go now but it's really changing.GeorgiaStepdeck Thanks this. -
That is not True, many local ordinances prevent truck or RV parking in Walmart parking lots. And in my travels I have noticed that some used to allow parking and then some idiot drivers took out their parking lot lights. Ever notice those big arches across the entries.
But some do allow temporary parking,

If you're with Prime you could just leave it at the fuel island.

I just thought to pull my truck on my fathers land that's 90 acres out in smithfield. I am still wondering how tf i am gonna make the turn off that back country road into his 14' wide driveway with sharp hills on either side of it.. if that doesn't work, i could drive an extra 20 miles to suffolk and leave it at the truck stop near route 58 and route 460.
