Whelp, I get to pick up at Armstrong in Beverly WV tomorrow. Guess who will NOT be going US33? Not feeling like I need to test my skills that much. I will go around and add the, what 100 miles, to the trip. Don't care. After reading all y'alls accounts, I just don't feel the need to try it myself.

Can't blame you, really. Especially in the weather we've been having.

Thank you. My last two trainees lived on the west coast, it worked out great. Keep in touch, if Abilene is your choice, then we can work it out. I'll be on a two week Alaskan cruise the last two weeks of July, but I'm sure we can get you lined up.

So I was looking back on @ExtremeUnction post about taking 219/48/259. Might do that, but every little fiber is saying screw it and go the interstate. If I have to pay the out of route, I will fight it tooth and nail AND I will refuse to go there ever again.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and JohnBoy Thank this.

Will do sir. My last day of class currently is scheduled to be July 13th, however at last check I am the only student starting Tuesday so I can possibly get done sooner. I certainly would not mind waiting to get on your truck but I am sure most of the trainers know their stuff. I have several companies on my list of possibilities, I plan to start making calls and talking to recruiters around my 3rd week of school and make a final decision on where to go by my 4th or 5th week. I will make sure to keep up on your thread here and stay in touch for sure.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

They look like real boneshakers. Some of the old timers on this forum like to go on about the good old days, they can keep em.

I would be tempted to go the scenic route just to say I did it, but I bet I would regret it once on it.
