I would not want to be in a business relationship with someone who doesn't know, or doesn't care, about the difference between "incite" and "insight". It may only be words, but contracts come from words, and pay comes from contracts. Get it right!

Spelling critics are not allowed on here. Ask me how I know. Not to worry the op has never been back. You are correct though. First impressions mean a lot. Imo good business people know how to dress, act, and spell.

This thread is evidence for why asking truckers and trucking companies for their rate is stupid. You guys are hilarious.

    Lol ....
Hey he asked what a good rate is, and we said what we thought was good.... he didn't say anything about a good rate for a given lane in a given market :)

Honestly asking anyone in any given x profession what their services cost is a terrible idea if you don't know anything about it. Heck walk up to me and ask me what it would cost to move 1 pallet of random product 500 miles and I'll say 1500-2000 depending on how it goes...

And yes I'm keeping as much of that money as I can. That was my sucker not yours lol.
