I have a cooling condenser and a control box on the back of my truck; the plastic coils seemed to always find these and hook on turns. I switched to the rubber lines (wrapped with plastic coil) because i feared eventually breaking an air line in the middle of an intersection. They sometimes did catch the same projections as the coils did, but the rubber lines were strong enough to not only survive, but remove the control box and bend Freightliner's metal air line mounting plate.

Aways had mine turned so that the coils where away from each other. Never tangled! Got rubber lines now and have them bundled all way back till two feet from trailer. Neat triangle shaped package. Niceand tight.

Rubber style. I believe mine are made by "Teleco" or something like that, got them at Iowa80 for $135 on sale and have been using the same set for 4 years now.
