I got to do 2 more tomorrow so ill ask the scrap guys
Our maintenance guy told me 16 c. Lb.
Just googled stainless scrap price
0.57 c lb
Maybe the scrap guy is keeping 41 c lb to tear them down?

 

Its prolly a super structure of painted steel and then stainless to hold the liquid.

I worked at an ethanol plant. The head of maintenance made 110+k a year. He was fired for selling old stainless equipment.

 

Yep, its anywhere from 0.45 to 0.75 around here. Man, he's gonna get a nice coin, if he's pulling THAT on you!

Did you guys try to SELL those 80k gal tanks?!? Maybe cash'n'carry style???

 

Yeppers, there you go. Somebody got busted for making a pretty coin. They are worth WAY more than 0.16. That padded this dude's 40k job by 70k~! (and maybe later.. 3 hots and a cot instead of a job?!? LoL.)

 

Well I'm guessing they will cut it up on site? And chain to a flat bed?

 

Could be done many ways.... OS/OD would be costly to haul, unless they had an "inside" guy that worked a % deal of the value.... there's always that, ya know.....
